What is Dark Protocol?
Dark Protocol is a privacy layer built on Solana that enables anonymous deposits, trades, and withdrawals using shielded balances and zero-knowledge proofs. The platform allows users to interact with Solana’s DeFi ecosystem without exposing wallet identities or transaction histories on-chain.
The protocol uses ZK-snarks technology to create shielded pools where users can provide anonymous liquidity and execute private swaps. Dark Protocol maintains full compatibility with Solana’s public markets while giving users complete control over their transaction privacy. The platform’s mainnet beta launched in November 2025, with the $DARK token already in circulation.
Dark Protocol’s core value proposition addresses the transparency challenge inherent to public blockchains. Users can deposit assets into shielded balances, perform swaps within the private pool, and withdraw funds to any wallet without revealing their trading patterns or holdings to observers.
