Overview
What is Drosera Network?
Drosera Network is a decentralized automation and security protocol built on Ethereum, designed to enhance the resilience of decentralized applications (dApps) in the DeFi ecosystem. The protocol introduces “Traps”—custom smart contracts that continuously monitor on-chain data in real-time for suspicious activities such as exploits, liquidity drains, or governance anomalies. When predefined conditions are met, these Traps trigger automated on-chain responses like pausing contracts or relocating funds, eliminating the need for centralized interventions or manual alert systems.
The protocol addresses a critical gap in Web3 security. Traditional measures like audits and bug bounties are reactive, leaving protocols vulnerable to exploits that have resulted in billions of dollars in losses. Drosera offers proactive, decentralized incident response that allows protocols to detect and mitigate threats in real-time. The project has raised approximately $4.8 million across two funding rounds, with backing from Greenfield Capital, Anagram Crypto, Arrington Capital, and prominent angel investors including Santiago Roel Santos and Peter Kim (CEO of Polymer Labs).
