Overview

What is Sekai?

Sekai is a liquid staking protocol built on HyperEVM, Hyperliquid’s EVM-compatible smart contract layer. It lets anyone launch a custom liquid staking token (LST) representing staked HYPE, with each LST backed by real staking yield and usable across DeFi.

The protocol’s main draw is its shared exit liquidity layer. Normally, every new LST has to bootstrap its own AMM pool, which disadvantages small or early-stage tokens. Sekai raised community funding through a Sekai Kappas NFT mint rather than a traditional VC round.
