Overview
What is Bitfrost?
Bitfrost is a protocol built on Hyperliquid that expands spot market capabilities by enabling native deposits, withdrawals, and the creation of new trading markets for various assets. By facilitating community-driven asset onboarding and revenue sharing, Bitfrost aims to activate idle assets within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. Bitfrost unlocks access to new assets and markets, positioning Hyperliquid for broader adoption as a spot trading venue.
The protocol also strengthens the ecosystem through a distributed validator set staked with $HYPE, Hyperliquid’s native token, which generates yield for holders while enhancing network security and decentralization. The project launched its first major integration on November 3, 2025, with native Zcash (ZEC) support, allowing users to bridge and trade ZEC as bZEC on Hyperliquid’s spot markets. This integration represents the first of multiple planned asset additions to the platform.
